On 22 April of each year in 174 countries of the world celebrates Earth Day (Earth Day). The important event of Spring was first proposed by journalist American John McConnell, who called for the establishment of a public holiday to celebrate the life and beauty of the earth and preserve the ecological balance upon which our lives and those of other species. 1969.Nell was the 'autumn of that year the idea was welcomed by the city of San Francisco and later the initiative was supported by the UN Secretary General U Thant, Margaret Mead (anthropologist famous) and many others.
