Work in Progress - Summary
This time I am writing to tell you about a trip or photo output, but to do a little 'a summary of the months just past.
The first of September I went to see friends 's Imago Arezzo, photographic association that I attend "virtually" for a while now'.
Every year they organize a photo exhibition for that period and, since last year, it became really great, giving rise to "Arezzo & Photography," an exhibition with venues scattered throughout the city.
Well, this year I was invited by them to participate with my photos, 10 prints of some of my past works, focusing on interior environments into disuse.
E 'was a great experience and I made friends with Mary Vodarich at the same time, the polaroid artist and nice person. Our knowledge has been the work of fate we were in the same carriage of the same train at the same time, not knowing who we were, then I saw the flyer for "Arezzo & Photography", so we started talking, and when it occurred I was surprised (I already knew Mary fame)! It was also
The first time you print (seriously), so for me a new and positive.
The week after I went two days with his friend Niccolò in Zermatt, Switzerland, to photograph the Matterhorn.
We had a "sunset-sunrise-sunset" fast, there is still cost a lot: attention to those parts that you plucked!
The area is nice, I saw the most beautiful places but there are some nice lakes that offer good ideas to resume the Matterhorn.
The situation in the best light is at dawn, at sunset while you are in full backlight and unless you find a beautiful sky full of colorful clouds is hard to do some good shooting.
the evening we went on foot to the village because the lifts close early.
The trails are marked very badly and we were wrong road several times, crossing for 3 times and stretching the entire side of the road a lot. We are also losing the shuttle arrived too late (you can not get to Zermatt by car, unless you have an electric motor, the first country to have to stop and take public transportation), so we were forced to wait an hour to the next. A mishap that could have been avoided if the trails were marked better: there are 3 or 4 routes leading into the country, would therefore welcome numerini simple to distinguish, to avoid jumping from one to another, since they are spaced more than a little!
On Sunday the same weekend I went to the Monza Grand Prix, again with Nicholas. I was hoping to do some good photos but unfortunately we were not in an ideal location.
The following Sunday I went to photograph the famous Bobbio Ponte Gobbo (or Old Bridge, or Ponte del Diavolo).
I had in mind for a while 'a photo taken with the blue hour, but already I was there I decided to go ahead and see the situation at sunset. Unfortunately, the sun sets just behind the village and then is back. With a little 'clouds in the sky, perhaps you could do something, Otherwise the situation is quite off.
The scene changes completely when the evening begins to fall and ignite the first light, making fascinating.
After a few shots, I decide that it is the right time and between several bats flying around me fearfully around, do the photos I wanted from the beginning.
After this release I take a break of several weeks, then one night I decide to go out and Adda, in an area that had already occurred during the summer.
Scooter none of it turned on, then take my bike and I started.
The situation is flat, but it interests me more than anything to find a good composition (which is difficult), then wait and when the sun went down and the sky is tinged with blue, I start to shoot really long time (several minutes).
I realize that the clouds are tinged with a purplish red, at the beginning I think are the last rays of sunset that stand out because of those long periods, but then realized that this is light pollution (I happened on other occasions). I would not have said it is far enough from the various villages. The result of the session satisfies me much, but I keep good location for the best skies.
More recently I have been for the third time the Three Peaks.
This output would be a meeting with the group of friends known to the Crete Senesi and Castelluccio di Norcia, but in the end we were only 2.
So for the first time I met Paul, with whom I "bivouac in the winter of the famous Rifugio Locatelli (being all the shelters now closed).
The first day we had a clear sky and pleasant temperatures in the sun, let things come to camp and start to take pictures of the lakes in the area behind the Locatelli. At sunset, the peaks do not light as I had hoped (due to the sun's position changed by now) so I have to hurry and find another interesting position. The end result very much anyway.
the evening we
knowledge with Maximilian, accompanied by his girlfriend, another keen photographer. Together we take the stars and while the machines are out taking pictures, we holed up in camp and chat (and heated).
The sky is still quite clean and clear throughout the night, but just here come the dawn of low clouds to destroy projects. We remain inside the camp and then sifting out every so often to see the situation.
When the sky opens up a bit 'now it's late and the light has gone better, but still try to take some pictures, trying to make the atmosphere more than anything else.
When broken down, around noon, some weak falling snowflakes.
In recent weeks, but I decided to devote myself to the landscapes of the countryside around me. He is currently what I'm doing, even for three reasons: It takes little time, it costs nothing (I move a few km) and especially now the days are shorter, so I can take pictures with the sunset before dinner.
Certainly it is difficult to pull off something good when you have a breathtaking scenery to photograph, and the light is 3 times more critical, but I'll see what can be done.
For now, only a few shots cute, and a beautiful sunset I've already "caught".
